Oberwald

Passengers of the Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway have full access to the infrastructure of the neighbouring MGBahn Railway Station. A ticket window, toilets and a restaurant are available in the newly renovated station. Information about the steam railway and regional tourism is provided by DFB volunteers at the InfoShop at the PostAuto stop in front of the railway station. Attractive souvenirs can also be purchased here. 

In 2013, a traditional shingle-roofed chalet was constructed alongside the DFB Railway Station. The chalet was sponsored by the Bern division of the Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway Association (VFB), and serves from 2014 serves a dual purpose as an operational centre as well as accommodation for DFB volunteers and staff.  

Tickets
1) Steam railway one-way and roundtrip tickets are sold in the MGBahn railway station.
2) Diesel train tickets are sold at the DFB InfoShop
3) PostAuto tickets can be purchased directly from the driver.
