Furka Station is open on the days the Furka Cogwheel Steam Railway operates (sun terrace). A 20-minute break is taken by the trains here, and a heated tent provides a comfortable setting even in cool weather. An InfoPoint offering brochures and information about the Furka region is available, as are toilets. Locally produced goods such as cheese can be purchased here.

Furka Station is located along marked hiking trails that extend between the Furka Pass and Realp.
